The Perfect combination of stretching and massage has arrived. Combining yin yoga and massage creates a holistic approach to relaxation and body awareness, promoting both mental and physical well-being. Yin yoga, characterized by its gentle, slow-paced postures held for extended periods, allows practitioners to access deeper connective tissues and enhance flexibility. When paired with massage therapy, this practice can amplify the benefits, leading to increasing ROM, aiding in recovery and relaxation. Letting the mind and body reset.

During a yin yoga session, the body is encouraged to enter a meditative state, allowing for introspection and the release of tension. As poses are held, the muscles begin to relax, which can be further enhanced by receiving massage to specific areas of the body. While you are holding the poses Massage therapy will be used to target localized tension, improve circulation, and facilitate the release of muscle tightness, complementing the deep stretches of yin yoga.

Integrating these two practices may also lead to improved joint health and mobility. Yin yoga emphasizes stillness, which encourages the synovial fluid around the joints to flow, nourishing tissues and minimizing stiffness. When combined with the kneading and manipulation of massage, this synergy can accelerate recovery from physical exertion and contribute to improved overall body alignment.

This fusion of yin yoga and massage not only deepens relaxation but also fosters a sense of mindfulness. Practitioners may find themselves more in tune with their bodies, leading to greater self-awareness and a clearer understanding of the areas that require attention, whether through movement or touch.

Fascial Stretch Therapy FAQs

How do I book?

We will combine some of the stretching techniques in a regular massage treatment, but to get into many muscles and joints we do need the clothes on. Great news is that we have increased our hours and opened up Fascial Stretching sessions only. It will be under a new tab on the main page of our booking software when you click our booking link.

Why wouldn’t I stretch on my own?

Stretching on your own is excellent and you should be adding regular stretching into your day-time routine; HOWEVER, we use a lot of traction to decompress your joint capsules (sending more fluid into the joint) this is something you cannot do on your own and has huge benefits to improving mobility long term.

Will benefits cover FST?

Yes, benefits will cover FST by registered massage therapists, under massage benefits or health spending. Direct billing is available for most health plans
